Dr. Roger L Alvey, Superintendent
Dr. Roger Alvey began his educational career as a junior high and high school science teacher at Bushnell-Prairie City. After three years, he became a high school science teacher for Illini Bluffs. He remained there for another three years, followed by a four year stint as middle school principal at Illini Bluffs. He spent the next five years as superintendent/principal of Limestone Walters.

Having graduated from Illini Bluffs High School in 1987, Dr. Alvey attended the University of Illinois as an undergraduate student. This was followed by attendance at Illinois State University for a Master's Degree, Western Illinois University for a Superintendent's Endorsement, and Argosy University in Chicago for a Doctorate Degree.

Dr. Alvey is married and has four children. He enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Alvey indicates that he is looking forward to serving as educational leader for the Elmwood School District, and appreciates the support he has received since becoming superintendent.
