Team Awards for Trojans Football began in 2001 as a way to identify and highlight individuals who had outstanding individual performances. With the 2011 season it became apparent that the team had grown into a selfless unit that would measure its successes by the results on the field rather than by individual statistics. As a result, Team Awards, other than the Black Lion, will no longer be awarded. Past awardees deserve to be recognized for their achievements and the 2001-2010 lists will remain.
