Trojans Football is a cooperative effort
between Elmwood High School and Brimfield High School. The coop
was formed in the early 1990's, and the program has been developing ever
since. Prior to that, Trojans Football was a product of Elmwood
High School. The football program has seen tremendous growth
since the year 2000. Six of the program's seventeen winning seasons came during
this
time, including the
best regular season record in
program history (8-1, three times), best overall record in program history
(10-2), and the five of the program's eight trips to the IHSA playoffs. The 2004 campaign witnessed the program's first playoff win,
first road playoff win, and first trip to the Quarterfinals. The
span from 2003-2008 saw Trojans football teams post six winning seasons and
six trips to the playoffs in a row.
Numerous
improvements to the facilities and program have been made. A new practice facility was built on EHS
grounds. Also, the playing field was leveled, crowned, and
Kentucky Bluegrass sod was installed. A new crow's nest was built
by the Elmwood Kiwanis Club that includes a press box, boxes
for scouts and film crews from both teams, and storage. A new scoreboard has been
installed. The design of the varsity uniform was updated, and the
distinctive Trojan logo was adopted. In addition, this web site
was developed to provide information about the team (schedules,
statistics, etc.) and highlight the accomplishments of Trojans
Football players.
