I grew up in Yates City and attended high school at Farmington.  While at Farmington, I was involved in many activities.  I played football for Dan Dillard and ran track for Dave Giagnoni.  I played offensive and defensive line in football and threw shot put and discus in track. I was also in the band and chorus.  I played the trombone during all four years of high school.  I went to Monmouth College where I played football for 4 years for Kelly Kane.  I majored in Mathematics with a minor in physical sciences.  My senior year at Monmouth, I was chosen as first team All-Midwest Conference as an offensive right guard.  Also, during my senior year, I did my student teaching at Union High School.  On June 7, 1997, I married Amanda Forrester (formerly of Elmwood/Farmington).  After Monmouth, I went to Rockridge High School where I stayed for nine years, coaching football at all levels, wrestling, and boys track.  In May of 2005 I received my Masters of Science in Education from Olivet Nazarene University.  I moved back into the area after accepting the job at Elmwood High School for the 2006-2007 school year. Currently, I live with my wife Amanda and our two dogs Aspen and Scout.  We live just south of the Country Club in the "new" edition.  We couldn't be happier to be here and are enjoying being close to our families once again.  On November 27, 2009 at 11:02 am, Amanda and I were blessed with a wonderful baby boy.  He was 8 lbs 2 oz and was 19 inches long.  His name is Beckett Emerson.  We couldn't love him more.
