Although there are
many models of inclusion, at this level there are four types that
are responsive to student needs. These are as follows:
1. Collaborative: special education and regular education staff
work together to solve and meet student's needs.
2. Support Instruction: special education staff provides support
services within the regular classroom.
3. Social Mainstreaming: students are included in regular
classrooms during instruction to provide appropriate exposure to
non-disabled peers.
4. Resource Pull Out: special education staff provides instruction
and support on a one-to-one basis outside the regular classroom.
This may be a small group setting.

Praise,
rewards, and encouragement are essential to a learning
environment. The student many turn in any graded paper with a C
or above. The student then receives a "ticket". The tickets are
placed in a container and drawn on a weekly basis. The student
may select a reward from a variety of items.
