Task:  To Design, To produce and to exhibit an original body of art work based on a common theme or idea selected by the student.  The student will create three pieces of artwork in one of the following areas: drawing, painting, ceramics, and printmaking or sculpture.  The Classroom teacher and at least two other art professionals evaluate the completed work.
The project is to simulate a working artist as they prepare for an upcoming group show.

Culminating Activity:  At the end of the nine week period an art exhibit of the finished student work will be held.  Parents, administration, and faculty will be invited to attend the opening reception held in the auditorium foyer.  At this time the judges will evaluated the students works.
