After you complete this course, you will be able to:
*identify ways to prevent injury
*recognize when an emergency has occurred
*follow three emergency action steps in any emergency
*provide basic medical care for injury or illness until a victim can receive medical attention

Performance Skills Obtained:
1.  Adult rescue breathing, CPR, choking, and partner CPR
2.  Child rescue breathing, CPR, and choking
3.  Infant rescue breathing, CPR, and choking



First Aid Skills:
1.  Cuts, scrapes, and bruises
2. Shock
3. Burns
4.  Diabetic emergencies
5.  Head and spinal injuries
6.  Impaired objects
7.  Cut-off body part
8.  Nosebleed
9.  Injuries to muscles, bones, and joints
10.  Heat related illness

Students must meet requirement of Red Cross Certification Test.
