Dear Trojan Community,
It is with great excitement that I welcome Mr. Thomas Bell as our next Junior/Senior High School Principal! Mr. Bell brings a wealth of experience, a passion for education, and a commitment to fostering a positive school culture. Through his experience as a coach, teacher, and most recently Principal of Southern Arizona Community Academy in Tucson, Arizona for the previous three years, Mr. Bell brings over 20 years of experience as an educator and is also a US Army Veteran. His vision for school emphasizes values, such as academic excellence, community involvement, and a student-centered culture for learning. These values mirror our own Trojan Way - Tradition of Excellence. We are excited to welcome Thomas, his wife Allie, daughter Charlotte (6), and son Angus (6 months) to our Trojan family!

Social Studies Teacher at Astoria Junior High School and Limestone High School 2004-2020.
Department Chairperson of Social Studies at Limestone High School 2017-2020
Arizona State University College Going Elective Instructor 2020-2022
Building Principal of Southern Arizona Community Academy 2022-present
Thomas has received the following recognitions:

VFW Illinois Teacher of the Year, 2008
Limestone High School Teacher of the Year, 2020
Thank you to the Principal Interview team who volunteered their time outside of the classroom and office to make a collaborative selection. Our 1st Annual Spring Career Fair is 2 weeks away on April 7th from 5:30-7:30 at Elmwood HS in the Commons. This is open to all Elmwood high school students and we have invited other local high schools to attend as well.

Ms. Lopeman's agricultural classes have some new additions! The eggs are hatching!

We may not have made it out of the Sectional, but just like we are every year, the EHS Scholastic Bowl team is out here working at the IHSA State Championship! This is our tenth year as "host school!" #TheTrojanWay

23 staff members participated in a BIGGEST LOSER competition over the last 9 weeks. Collectively, we lost over 220 pounds!! Congratulations to these amazing individuals for working so hard!
