We are so proud to recognize our December staff person of the month. This month's recipient is Mrs. Joanne Carlson. Mrs. Carlson has been in education for 55 years. She is professional, considerate, kind, and very organized. Mrs. Carlson is always willing to step in and help others. She is dedicated to the staff and students. Whether it's lending a hand, sharing a laugh, or brightening up the room, Harold Jehle brings so much joy and positivity to our community. His morals, values, and strength of character are impeccable. His sense of service to the community of Elmwood comes second after his love for his family. Well, maybe third if you add in fishing. He doesn’t know a stranger and would help anyone who needed it. He's known for his big smile, a sense of humor, and strong work ethic! Harold has served our community as the Elmwood Kiwanis Club Treasurer for 50 years (Worked every single Pancake Day, Easter Egg Hunt, Free Movie, and is known as the Cheese Guy), City of Elmwood Treasurer for 40 years, Morrison and Mary Wiley Library Board Treasurer for 31 years, the Elmwood Educational Foundation Treasurer 30 years, and the Fall Festival Treasurer 20 years. Harold has been committed to the tradition and excellence of our community and our students for decades. Elmwood Varsity Girls traveled to Monmouth to play in the United Tournament. 51- 22 win over Payson-Seymour and 55-41 win over Farmington. Played all 12 players and we had 10 out of the 12 players score today. Two total team wins! #TheTrojanWay
