Alchemy - I turned lead into 'gold.' The Merlin the Magician folks were tasked with this. They likely discovered this reaction and it gave the impression they were on the right track. Lots of good chemistry came from it.
This is actually lead (II) iodide, and it is quite toxic.

Benzoic acid, C7H6O2, shown here as HA, is used in a variety of products. It's a food preservative, an antiseptic used to treat bacterial and fungal skin infections, and a stabilizer in cosmetics and personal care products. Here students are calculating the pH of a .35M solution of this weak acid.

The girls Senior night ended with a bang! They played a hard fought game, getting the win on senior night over a tough Lewistown team. Not only did they win on senior night, but Andrea Glenn hit her 1000 career points milestone. Hard work pays off, congratulations Andrea!!!

🟠⚫ Elmwood CUSD #322 – January Community Member of the Month ⚫🟠
We are proud to introduce Dolores Goodwin to anyone who doesn’t already know her!
This month we are honored to recognize Dolores Goodwin as our Elmwood Community Member of the Month. She is a longtime resident of Elmwood and has seen some of her grandchildren graduate as Trojans. You would never guess she’s 88 by her incredible energy and vibrant personality. Dolores’ positivity is truly contagious, and over the past few months her constant encouragement and kind comments toward our students have not gone unnoticed. 💛
Our basketball coaches were so touched by her support that they invited Dolores in to personally thank her for her dedication and uplifting messages. Her belief in our kids and our school has meant more than she may ever know. Dolores absolutely demonstrates the values of The Trojan Way—positivity, journey, hardworking, caring—and she sets a powerful example for our entire community.
Thank you, Dolores, for being such a bright light for Elmwood CUSD #322. We are so grateful for you! 🧡🖤
