What an amazing art fair for the Prairieland Conference last Friday. We hosted the fair with roughly 12 other schools. We also want ot give a huge shoutout to Blick Art Materials for sponsoring the event. Great job Trojans #TrojanWay
The water we drink has specific ratios of oxygen isotopes. Where a person lives or has travelled can be determined by analyzing hair samples for those isotopes. Using an 'isoscape' map and the hair analysis, has led to solving missing persons gases. Our analogue lab uses beans to represent oxygen isotopes. Jr. High Scholastic Bowl finished the regular season with a 6-3 record. They'll head to regionals in Cuba on Wednesday, April 29th. #TheTrojanWay
The Elmwood-Brimfield boys track team finished 2nd at the 16 team Lewistown Invite on Thursday. The Trojan team had a majority of its athletes post season best performances and/or personal best performances at the meet. The Trojans are back in action today (Monday, April 20th) at the Knoxville invite. Field events start at 4:00 and running events start at 5:45.

Today was IESA Solo & Ensemble Contest for Jr. High Band & Choir. We had 15 events overall with a total of 17 students performing! Mr. Pratt and Mrs. Buchanan are proud of all the students for their hard work, especially those who persevered through adversity! Bravo to all!
English III discussed Fahrenheit 451 while sipping Nighthawk's Coffee today. Nothing like great coffee and great conversation about classic literature.

The seniors were busy this week with senior interviews. We are thankful to those interviewers that take time out of their busy schedules for our students! We had lots of compliments on our students. Graduation is creeping up on them 🧡🖤
The Industrial Arts class is making progress in there construction unit. Today they worked on the electrical side of construction. They attached and wired an electrical box to their wall frame. The next step in this process is putting in dry wall. Construction is one of the many different trades we teach in the classroom. Elmwood CUSD #322 would like to inform our staff and families that the school parking lot will be closed on Saturday, April 18 to allow the Elmwood Fire Department, along with neighboring fire departments, to conduct scheduled training and drilling exercises.
Please do not park in the lot from 7:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, as emergency vehicles and personnel will be actively using the space throughout the day.
We appreciate your cooperation as we support our local first responders in their efforts to train and prepare for emergency situations that help keep our community safe.

We've learned that wiring PV cells in series affect voltage, but not amperage. Today in Physical Science, we test to see what happens when we wire in parallel.
The Industrial Arts students are building wall sections in their construction section. The cutting of their 2x4s went well and building out their walls and connecting them has gone just as well. Rough wiring coming next! #TheTrojanWay #Elmwood322

According to Boyle's Law, pressure and volume of gases have an inverse relationship. Today we listened to Chemistry For Your Life to learn about a real medical issue called HAFE (high altitude flatulus expulsion) that can happen when you fly. A similar phenomenon occurs when you drink soda and have to burp. Some very real science with a bit of a sophomoric twist.
