Ms. Little's daughter, Kirsten, came in to promote Jr. High Lego League. She discussed the Innovation Project and Coding. After that discussion, we discussed acting. This turned into a discussion about Improv. The kids had a great time! We have some future Trobots, actors, and actresses in 5th grade!

After learning About Bison, First Grade took a trip to City Hall to meet Elmwood's very own Buddy the Bison. Thanks to Amy Davis and Kenny Blum for talking to us about Billy's designs!

Congratulations to Mrs. Stewart, our JH/HS staff award recipient for May. She has taken on a leadership role in junior high school while continuing our tradition of excellence. Mrs. Stewart is a role model and mentor, caring and positive, and has the patience to work with JH students. We all appreciate her demonstration of the characteristics of #TheTrojanWay.
6D performed read aloud plays from Scholastic Scope based on Greek mythology. Some chose the story of Medusa, others, the story of Midas, and the last group chose Odysseus and the cyclops. This was a fun way to end the year after our study of The Odyssey. #TheTrojanWay

Tonight, Karilyn Orr, from The Illinois Attorney General’s Office, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, delivers training to parents/guardians that provide valuable information on how to stay safe and help children avoid online risks. All parents/guardians from any local schools are welcome to attend. The presentation will begin at 6:00 and last approximately 1 hour. #TheTrojanWay
Trojans Football is honored to have been asked once again to assist with the Ruck 22 "John Pettit Memorial Walk."
Trojans Football - this 'captain's practice' will start at Central Park in Elmwood at 7:30am (arrive by 7:15am) as we give the participants a great send off. Then, a workout on the game field while some of us man the school's water station and restrooms for the participants. Donuts will be provided!
