We've had a very successful first two days of full band camp! We've refined our marching fundamentals and worked hard on our music, with student led sectionals! Plus a bit of "band fun" after lunch for team building. Can't wait to start learning halftime drill tomorrow!

We had a very successful three days of freshmen and percussion camp! The freshmen met for 2 hours each morning to learn marching fundamentals and the drumline met for 2 hours each evening to work on music. Thank you for your hard work and perseverance!

That's a wrap on band summer lessons! Twenty-five students had four one-on-one lessons with Mr. Pratt over the last four weeks. Each student set goals for their individual growth and they all made great progress!

FFA members Kenzie Hess and Gavin Strom are attending Illinois FFA Leadership Camp this week in Monticello. They will be bringing back team building activities and ways to improve the chapter.

Get out of the heat and come watch some volleyball at EHS today! The team is hosting their annual end of summer league tournament! There will be games all day and evening. Elmwood plays at noon, 5pm, and 7pm. Come support EHS volleyball!
Drama Camp started our last week off with a bang! We are becoming pros at multiple Improv Games, and our scripted monologues and duet scenes are coming along nicely! We hope to see you this Thursday at 10:30 for our final showcase!
Today marks the final day for our Junior/Senior High School Principal, Tony McCoy, as he officially begins his well-earned retirement! Mr. McCoy is also an Elmwood graduate and held many titles while in this building: student, athlete, graduate, teacher, coach, parent, and principal.
With 28 years of dedicated service to our students, staff, and families, he has left a lasting legacy of leadership, compassion, and commitment to education. From mentoring teachers to cheering in the stands at Friday night games, Mr. McCoy has been a pillar of our school community. He has instilled the values of The Trojan Way in our community for decades.
As you can see, he's already moved out for Mr. Bell to move into his office. Please join us in thanking Tony for an incredible journey and wishing all the best in this next chapter! Once a Trojan, Always A Trojan 🧡🖤 #TheTrojanWay
