Elmwood Community Schools

All incoming kindergarten students entering the 2026-2027 school year as kindergarteners are required to be screened prior to beginning school in the fall. Two dates are available for screenings, Thursday, July 30th or Monday, August 3rd. Please use the link below to secure a screening date for your student and learn more about our screening process. Screenings will take place from 9:00AM - 11:30AM at Elmwood Elementary. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Summer workouts for HS Volleyball and HS Basketball. Day 1....great turnout ladies!

It was a big day for Elmwood/Brimfield Track. Aiden Faulkner was the honorary Athlete for the IHSA State Track meet and led off the day with a speech during the opening ceremony. The 4x800 relay team of Hason Hubbard, Cole Cahill, Kam Stevenson, and Darwin Herman earned All-State Medals with their 7th place finish. Darwin came back and ran an impressive 1:53 in the 800 earning him a 3rd place finish and a second All-State Medal. Aiden finished off the day with a great 1600. He finished 6th with a 4:26 and earned an All-State Medal, too. More importantly all of our state athletes represented our schools and communities extremely well throughout the long weekend.

Congratulations to the B/E baseball team for winning regionals. Good luck at sectionals!

Congrats to B/E softball on their sectional championship win, 8-1. Come out to Eastside on Monday at 4:30 and cheer these girls onward in the state finals.

🚧 Track Closure Notice 🚧

Beginning June 2, the Elmwood CUSD #322 track will be closed to the public as resurfacing construction begins. This important improvement project will help provide a safer and higher-quality facility for our students and community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during construction. We will share updates and announce the track's reopening once the project is complete.

It's final exam time. Physical science students are presenting their findings of the effect of distance from a light source on photovoltaic (solar) output (volts, amps, watts).

This is an "assessment OF learning." The cool thing is, it is also an "assessment FOR learning." Students have to decide how to present their findings. Do they create a multi-variable graph, or create three different graphs? If they do the multivariable, how will they show scale? If they do three different graphs, how will they compare them when the scales are most likely much different?

This is a final 'exam' in which students are encouraged to ask questions. They are learning and problem-solving while also demonstrating their knowledge.
