Elmwood FFA officers survived the heat the last two days camping in Shelbyville Illinois with the Farmington FFA officers. Team building and great fun was had by all! Thank you to all that help make it happen!
The second annual Elmwood Theatre Camp is in full swing! We have learned multiple improv games, learned about warm ups, and today we begin scripted pieces. Our showcase is next Friday at 10 in the auditorium. We hope to see you there (admission is free)!

Elmwood CUSD #322 is pleased to welcome Nathan Darko as our new Junior High & High School Athletic Director / Dean of Students. Nathan brings a diverse background in education, athletics, and student leadership to our district. A graduate of Limestone High School, he was a multi-sport athlete before continuing his education at Illinois State University, where he was a member of the university's cheerleading program. After earning his degree and Physical Education teaching certification, Nathan began his career teaching physical education. He later earned his LBS1 endorsement and has spent the past several years teaching special education while also serving as a coach for junior high girls basketball and high school cheerleading. Nathan has also recently completed a Master's Degree in Leadership as well. Nathan's passion for supporting students both in and out of the classroom, combined with his leadership experience, will be a tremendous asset to Elmwood. Nathan, his wife, Josie, and their daughter, Lena, reside in Bartonville. Please join me in extending a warm Trojan welcome to Nathan and his family as they become part of the Elmwood CUSD #322 community!

Members of our EHS Boys Basketball team completed a team building session at WIU Horn Field Campus. Mindy Pheiffer and her staff never fail to challenge our guys, and our overnight stay in their cabins is always a highlight of our summer. Illinois FFA Ag Night with the Peoria Chiefs

Ag Night is a special event celebrating agriculture while raising money for the Illinois FFA Foundation. The event is organized in partnership with Vertical Software and the Peoria Chiefs to support agricultural education and leadership development opportunities for FFA members across Illinois.
Fans can enjoy a night of baseball, agriculture-themed activities, giveaways, and postgame fireworks. A portion of ticket sales and donations from the event will benefit the Illinois FFA Foundation. Through a matching program provided by Valstone, donations made during the event will be matched up to $5,000, increasing the impact of every contribution.
The goal of Ag Night is to bring together FFA members, agricultural businesses, supporters of agriculture, and community members for an evening of fun while supporting the future of agriculture and agricultural education in Illinois.

Today we wrapped up our camp for 2nd–7th graders. Our campers worked hard, improved every day, and were great teammates to one another. We are proud of their effort, growth, and positive attitude throughout the week!
