Today in the 7th grade Industrial Arts mini, the students each got a hands on opportunity to check the oil of a car. This unit is a good way to help the students learn about real-world skills. #elmwood322 #thetrojanway #industrialarts
It's an exciting day for 5th grade! Mr. Pratt will be demonstrating the different band instruments so students can begin to decide what they may want to play. Students will get to test out instruments on Thursday this week before sign-up night on Sept. 10th!

This week, our staff spotlight is on Kimberly Lawrence. Kimberly is one or our school's custodian and a bus driver for Elmwood #322. She works hard everyday to ensure that the school is up and running. Kimberly has been here at Elmwood for two years. "I am humbled and honored to be a small but important part of their lives. Most recently, moving back to central Illinois for family. My husband and I settled in Brimfield, and I was hired by Elmwood to drive Special Needs route and perform custodial work in order to allow me to be a full-time employee." Her favorite quote "YOU have the power to make a difference in a child's life". Congrats Kimberly! #TrojanWay

We are fortunate to have the second floor of our press box for use as a "luxury box" to benefit Easterseals Central Illinois.
I'm so thankful for Mrs. Strom and Mrs. Ulrich for spending hours yesterday cleaning the carpet and the room in general in preparation for the season.

While Adv, Chemistry was learning about the chemistry of hairspray on our podcast walk we happened by David Vaughan's office. He treated the kids to ring pops (and me with a beef stick - yum). It's a great day to be a Trojan!
