On behalf of Elmwood Elementary, we would like to recognize our August Staff Member of the Month, Mrs. Dayna Hart. Mrs. Hart does it all! She is known for her great sense of humor and efficiency in our office. Mrs. Hart has a wonderful attitude and is an amazing problem solver. She takes care of students and staff everyday to ensure they have what they need. We are truly fortunate to have such a caring and wonderful person working in our office. Safety is always the number one priority for all school events, the administration has set rules to ensure that everyone has a wonderful gameday experience! At Saturday’s Elementary Parents’ Club Golf Fore Education Silent Auction, a few of our amazing Elmwood elementary staff came together to purchase a special gift for our Elementary Principal, Mrs. Brugger! They surprised her with the framed Elmwood “E” filled with a photo of our elementary students and their signatures. This gesture is a fantastic symbol of the appreciation we all have for her. Mrs. Brugger leads with such kindness, compassion, and dedication, and this is a reflection of just how much she means to our school community. Big come from behind win today from the Jr High Softball team to beat IVC Ghosts. The Trojans never gave up, scoring 7 runs in the sixth inning. Good defense behind our pitcher and timely hits helped us secure the win. Trojans move to 5-3 on the season.

Trojans Football receives so much incredible support from our families and community. I am so thankful for Matt Alger and his willingness to take on leading the group that makes our signs. Go Trojans!

English II student have been reading memoir excerpts, so today they applied their knowledge of narrative writing with a six word memoir.

Friday Reading Buddies: English II students helped kick off the sea unit for Mrs. Crisco's 3rd grade class by reading Amos and Boris with them.

The business will soon be up and running again so the kids are learning and getting back into the grove of welding. The new kids are really enjoying getting to learn the trade. #ehsindustrialarts #elmwood322 #TheTrojanWay
